Bradshaw Animal Shelter and Community Spay/Neuter Clinic have partnered together to create a more efficient, effective, and humane no-cost community cat program for community cats residing in Sacramento County. This program is effective February 1, 2023.
Do not trap without an appointment!
New appointments will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. There is a limit of two cats per person per week.
How to Make an Appointment
Call Community Spay Neuter Clinic directly at 916-368-7314 on the 1st Monday of each month at 7am for the following month appointments. Do not leave a voicemail, as Community/Spay Neuter Clinic is unable to return calls. Appointments must be made through Community/Spay Neuter Clinic and cannot be made through the shelter.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off
All cats must be picked up the same day. On the day of the appointment, drop-off is at 7:30am and pick-up is at 4pm at Community/Spay Neuter Clinic. Community/Spay Neuter Clinic is located at 3839 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, to the left of the shelter's animal admission doors. Cats must be dropped off at CSN and cannot be dropped off for appointments at the animal shelter.
Please Note
We are unable to accommodate walk-ins. Trappers must be available all day by phone the day of the appointment. In the event Community/Spay Neuter Clinic cannot reach you, medical decisions will be determined by the Community/Spay Neuter Clinic veterinary medicine team.
The community cat program includes the following no-cost services, sponsored by Bradshaw Animal Shelter:
- Spay/neuter surgery
- Ear tipping
- Rabies vaccine
- FVRCP vaccine
- Flea treatment
- Minor treatment of conditions such as ear mites, tapeworms, and wound care
