- Adoption processing stops 30 minutes before closing.
- Lists update every 30 minutes but may not reflect real-time availability.
- Adoptions are in-person only at: 3839 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827
- We cannot hold animals by phone/email or ship pets.
Where to Meet Our Pets
Our pets are on site and available for adoption from 12pm-5pm on Wednesdays and 1pm-4:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

FAQs
State law requires that all cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
Since most of our animals are stray we do not have their history. We do offer a thirty day return policy if the adoption does not work out.
The attendants or officers do their best to determine the breed of the dogs that arrive at the shelter.
We receive large dogs because people often lose interest in when they have passed their cute puppy stage, or the animals become too much to handle because of inadequate training.
We do get small dogs but they are adopted quickly.
Fees are charged to help offset the high costs of housing, caring and providing medical attention for the animals. The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, a microchip and all initial immunizations.
These fees do not cover the actual costs and are much less than what you'd pay for individual services.
